The original "Daily Rod - Tales of Travelling" is, without doubt, one of my proudest achievements - not because of any sort of journalistic merit in its content, but just for the fact that I managed to preserve so many memories, anecdotes, and little details from the journey of a lifetime in a medium where they'll be preserved well into the future. The fact that so many people were able to (hopefully) enjoy some stories while I simultaneously got to keep what essentially amounted to a "public diary" was, all in all, a win-win situation!
However, travels have now finished, and thus The Daily Rod, with its "djr-travels" URL, will be retired - that chapter of my life closed for ever. But blogging is a bit of a bug, and I'd feel bad for the world if it couldn't have some sort of means of accessing my latest ridiculous views. So here it is, and into the future it'll probably end up being a repository of links to various ridiculous articles on the web. But who knows... it's a long future out there.
